REFORMER PILATES

Reformer Pilates is Pilates done the way it was designed, by Joseph Pilates, to help wounded soldiers rehabilitate from their hospital beds during the first world war.  The Reformer machine allows you to perform the exercises precisely as Pilates intended.  Consequently, Reformer Pilates is more intense and more dynamic than mat based Pilates. It adds resistance to the Pilates exercises via the use of the springs which form part of the machine.  If You - 

 

Have niggling aches & pains would like to improve your posture

 

Want to relieve stiffness in your back/hips/knees & move more freely

 

Are looking for a safe, low impact way to gain mobility & strength

 

Want to feel strong & toned & have confidence in your body & movement.

 

Used to do some exercise but either stopped because life got in the way or because injuries

don’t allow you to anymore

Reformer Pilates is for you!

1-2-1 and small group sessions - 

For those who have been referred by a health practitioner, have a specific need/ injury they need to address or those wanting a quick start to a group classes. A full postural analysis will be carried out and any issues discussed. 1-2-1 is also suitable for those who simply prefer personal tuition.

Small group sessions are an ideal way for friends and family to share the cost of more personalised tuition that is not possible in a class situation.

FORREST YOGA

Forrest Yoga is a style of yoga as exercise.

It was created and named for Ana T. Forrest in 1982. It's known for its long holding of positions, emphasis on breathing, abdominal work and standing series that can go on for 20 poses on each side.  If You - 

 

Want to relieve stress & anxiety but don’t find much time for yourself

 

Have a sedentary or standing job which affects your posture & want to feel stronger and more supple

 

Need a regular exercise routine which will help you to de-stress, feel calm and relaxed,

but also to improve your fitness, build strength and flexibility without having to go to the gym

 

Do some exercise but are aware you need to strengthen your muscles & gain flexibility to

improve, and to help to prevent injuries

TIMETABLE

Classes run as four week blocks generally - no memberships or sign up fees,
you pay at the beginning of a block for what you want to do that block.  
Routines last the block and get progressively harder as the block continues.

1-2-1s can be booked by arrangement, and also in blocks of four.  Contact me for details.

Classes run in four week blocks in line with the main studio classes.
